After the birth of a child, efforts are made to provide the mother with nutritious food in the Sarathana area of Surat.
Activities focused on the physical, mental, and social development of girls aged 11 to 18, along with skill training, have been carried out for the past four months.
Hemoglobin deficiency is tested by expert doctors in the Ambika area of Surat, and appropriate treatment is provided to those affected.
In the Sarathana area of Surat, Dr. Hedgewar Smruti Seva Samiti identified a pressing issue—many new mothers were not receiving proper nutrition after childbirth, leading to health complications for both mothers and infants. Recognizing this need, the Samiti launched a nutrition awareness campaign focused on educating families about the importance of postnatal care and providing free nutritious food to needy mothers. This simple yet powerful effort improved the health of over 100 mothers within a few months.
In another impactful initiative, the Samiti began a program for adolescent girls aged 11 to 18. Many of these girls lacked awareness about physical, mental, and emotional development. Through workshops and and hygiene but were also empowered with life skills. This created a ripple effect, as these girls began sharing their knowledge with peers, spreading social awareness across the community.
We believe education is key to progress. We support underprivileged children through school supplies, fee aid, and learning programs to ensure equal educational opportunities for all.
